Seriously, we are less than 2 weeks to Christmas, and well into Hanukkah. It’s funny, our son started telling us all about Hanukkah this week, and what does he remember most? You get a gift everyday for 8 days! Regardless of what you are celebrating, there is some shopping to be done! During our last blogpost, we tackled the Foodies on your list. Now, let’s talk Fitness Junkies. Ok, so maybe this is my personal wish list, but oh well, it’s a good list. I think you will find something for that Fitness Junkie who has everything!
Fab Five Gifts for Fitness Junkies
Athletic Shoes
Let’s start with shoes. Every fitness junkie has to update their kicks every 6 months, period. So shoes (or a gift card to Zappos, for that matter) are a welcome gift for nearly every fitness junkie.

Brooks Adrenaline Women’s GTS 18
The Brooks Adrenaline Women’s GTS 18 is my favorite running shoe, hands down. This shoe is ideal for overpronators, even those with falling arches. I can pound the pavement in these sneakers, and they have been working for me through countless half-marathons since 2011.
The Asics Men’s GT-3000 3 Running Shoe has been another staple in our house. My husband has every model of this sneaker since he started wearing these in 2011. They have seen him through multiple half-marathons in cold, blustery weather and extreme heat and humidity.
Socks

Balega-Running-Socks
Quality running socks are a must. I still remember that first race that I did when I wore basic cotton socks. O.M.G. Talk about blisters. Let’s just say I couldn’t walk right for days. Yes, the Balega Hidden Comfort Athletic socks are little more expensive, but they are worth every penny. The cushion on the sole of the sock is terrific, and the elastic in the the ankle never slips down into my shoe. Grab a couple pair (available in a variety of colors), and throw them in your favorite runner’s stocking!
Flipbelt

FlipBelt
Are you always clamoring for a spot to carry your keys, ID and maybe your phone when you are out for a run or during a workout?? If you’re like me (or most women), our workout clothes never have pockets. Not only is this super frustrating to my husband, but it is incredibly unsafe if you are working out alone. I discovered the FlipBelt years ago, and my life has been revolutionized. Simply slip this over your workout tights or running shorts, and you can slip in an iPhone, an ID, and even clip in your keys. You will always be ready to go for that next workout or run. And look pretty fab at the same time.

Sweaty-Bands
SweatyBands
Can I just tell you how these have revolutionized my workouts, especially my long runs? Not only are SweatyBands super stylish and available in a variety of prints and colors, they never move!!! Talk about amazing. I can’t tell you how many times I have been on a run and lost a headband because it slid off the back of my head. I know you know what I am talking about. Seriously, get a few of these SweatyBands for every fitness junkie on your list.
Listen, I know it is down to the wire. But if you are like me, you thrive on the stress of the shopping season. Hopefully, we have made things a little easier on you with some of the best gifts for fitness junkies on your list. Happy Holidays!
