It’s that time of year. 2 weeks to Christmas! Cue – shopping madness. I’ve always been a procrastinator and holiday shopping is no exception. On top of that, I am not the most thoughtful gift giver, but I always have aspirations of watching my loved ones unwrap the perfect gift from me. This year is going to be different. If I can come up with these great suggestions, I better figure out a way to make it happen for my family, right?? Anyway, enough about me, hopefully, we can help you. If you have a foodie on your list, look no further. Here are our favorite gifts for foodies!
Favorite gifts for Foodies
Our gifts for foodies are a great sampling of our favorites over the years. Some are less expensive than others, but all are indispensable in our kitchen. If you have a foodie on your list, these picks will make you a winner.
Let’s start with my favorite gift of all time – a Multi-cooker! The Fagor Multi-Cooker. First of all, Nate did it right. I had been checking out these Instant Pots for weeks, but never mentioned it to him. And then somehow, this showed up under the tree. Seriously, this appliance is on our counter all the time. Despite its size, it has a permanent spot next to the blender. And like the blender, it is a critical tool in our arsenal for healthy eating. We use this everyday. From making staples like brown rice and quinoa on meal prep day to the amazing risotto button. Yes, you can make risotto in 6 minutes. That foodie will feel like a gourmet!
Air Fryers have been all the rage for a couple of years, and we grabbed one last Christmas. The E’Cucina Home HealthyFry Air Fryer is amazing. In under 15 minutes, you can have healthier options for all of your favorite fried foods, including french fries, sweet potato french fries (one of my new favs), fried tofu, and even all those fried and battered veggies. This has been a game changer for us when it comes to getting more veggies in our diet, without all the additional oil and fat that comes with frying. Plus you don’t have to preheat the oven and wait for 30 minutes to roast your veggies. Much faster in getting dinner on the table on a busy weeknight.
If you want to get serious about recipe preparation, you must invest in a Food Scale. We recently upgraded to gorgeous digital food scale. The Ozeri Touch Professional Digital Kitchen Scale is inexpensive, but simply perfect. We use it regularly when we bake, since baking requires such exact measurements in the recipe. But it is equally great for measuring your food intake, which is critically important for losing weight. Measuring out your portions with foods like pistachios and almonds are critical to weight loss. Grab one of these for under $20!
Are you trying to make a difference in the environment? Recycling more? Using reusable grocery bags when you shop? Well, this year our family has made a concerted effort to use less plastic whenever possible. If you have a foodie on your list that is trying to be more sustainable, grab a pack of these Reusable Produce Bags for under $10. They are truly liberating, minimizing the volume of plastic grocery bags laying around the house, and so easy to wash! Makes a great stocking stuffer!
Well, thats our top 4 – that we can’t live without. But is there is something that you grabbed this season that tops our list, please comment below. We would love to share with the Focused on Fit community! Hope this helps each of you in your holiday shopping! Happy Holidays!
